Medicine prices in the U.S. are 256% higher
than the global average.

Who Are We?

Americans pay 3x more for prescription medicines when compared to other countries. We believe everyone deserves access to their medications. We believe everyone deserves access to their medications, but pharmaceutical companies put profits before patients and it’s hurting ALL Virginians.

Currently in Virginia, medicine prices consistently rise faster than inflation and rise higher than other consumer goods. The need to create a change for a better Virginia is clear.

We are a coalition of doctors, small businesses, and grassroots organizations that are fighting for a better, healthier Virginia.

Because medicine doesn’t work unless people can afford it.

What We Fight For

With the cost of prescription medicine being so high, people are forced to choose between treating their illnesses or paying rent, or buying groceries, or paying their utility bills.

We believe that Virginia can do better. Our goal is to establish a Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) to set upper payment limits (UPLs) on the price of prescriptions, thus lowering the impact of the cost of these prescriptions on local Virginians.
